Phike is a retired social worker, having worked in industry and government and state agencies in the US, UK and Zimbabwe.
During Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle while studying in Britain and the US, she was the conduit through which some of Reverend’s letters were smuggled out of prison and through her conveyed to recipients including Herbert Chitepo, Dr. Edson Sithole, Edward Heath (former Prime Minister of Britain) and Sir Douglas Home (former Foreign Secretary for Britain) and many others.
